Welcome to Merry Go Round Manor

Welcome to Merry Go Round Manor. We are located along US 101 in California between San Jose and Monterey. Connemaras have been part of our life for over 30 years.

Our three daughters, Tricia, Jeanine and Elaine, have participated in US Pony Club, Santa Clara Valley Pony Assoc. and West Coast Connemaras through their early lives.  The foundation Mare of our farm was RBR Miss Patrice.  She did everything. And along the way she was honored by the Society with the An Toastal Award.

One of Patrice’s progeny is just as famous as she, MGRM Premier Performance (Stetson). Among all his honors is the fact that he was the initial winner of the West Coast Consummate Connemara award in 2000 and West Coast Connemara Champion Stallion (Performance) 1999. Many of his get are out there performing today. He was gelded in 2001 and is now devoted to driving and our next generation of riders.

Three of our grand daughters are picking up from where their mother left off.  Devan, Taylor and Blake are into horses.  Devan has competed with the Redwoods PC and joined them in Colorado Springs for the USOC Modern Pentathlon camp. Blake is six and has her own Shetland, Polly and also rides Moon at the WCCS.

The most famous of us all is MGRM Brigadoon. A Dun Stallion who looks like his great grandfather, Custushas Cashel Rock. He is a double for the movie star, Spirit. In fact he has been a stand in for him at the announcement of the Breyer model of the Spirit. He has his own fan club in the Sacramento area. Winner of ACPS Pony of the Year 2003;  West Coast Connemaras Grand Champion Stallion (Performance) 1995, 2001 & 2003; USET Area VI Pony of the Year 2001 & 2002 . He has concentrated on both Dressage and Combined Driving. He won the 2006 Northern Calif. Junior rider Training level and qualified for the State finals in Los Angeles. In Los Angeles he was reserve Champion in his class. His rider for most of these competitions has been Michele Cihak.
His overall 2006 Performances have awarded Brigs with the Adequan/USDF All Breeds, ACPS: Open Training Level Champion.

In 2007 he is concentrating on Dressage, First Level with his rider Michelle Cihak.  To date his top performance at this new level is 71.05. At the Golden State Dressage Show, Thurs. he was High Percentage 1st Level, Yr Division and Highg Percentage Pony for the show.

It has been a pleasure to make a commitment to the Connemara Breed.  We have made this a family commitment. Our belief is that a rider should be suited to the animal he/she rides. Young/small riders are better suited to Ponies. Therefore we have strived for the Pony in Connemara Pony.
